Mallory Scrivens, birth doula serving Kitimat, Kitamaat Village, and Terrace

A calm presence beside you

Hi, I’m Mallory Scrivens.

I became a doula because I’m drawn to caring for others and creating steadiness during life’s biggest moments. My approach is warm, practical, and centred on your individual preferences—whether you are planning an epidural, hoping for an unmedicated labour, preparing for an induction, or still exploring your options.

I am currently completing my Birth Doula certification through Doula Training Canada. When we work together, you can expect kindness, preparation, honest communication, and support without judgment.

Doula care complements medical care. A doula does not diagnose, provide medical treatment, or replace your healthcare provider.

Support without judgment

Your birth does not have to look a certain way to deserve compassionate support.

I believe every family deserves to feel heard, respected, and included in conversations about their care. My role is not to make decisions for you or replace your medical team. It is to help you prepare, offer comfort and reassurance, and support you in communicating what matters to you.

I support a wide range of birth preferences, including medicated and unmedicated labour, induction, planned cesarean birth, and changing plans. You remain at the centre of your care.
